Theramotion presents: Video Motion Analysis (Dartfish)
Video Motion Analysis (Dartfish)
What is video motion analysis?
Video motion analysis is the study of motion in humans, observing past what the naked eye is able to see. Despite similar walking patterns, individuals still have different joint and muscle properties. Based on video motion analysis findings, a doctor or physical therapist can better execute a plan to improve any movement disorders or issues.
Who benefits from video motion analysis?
Those who have the most to gain from video motion analysis include, but are not limited to, individuals with the following conditions:
- Amputees
- Spina Bifida
- Cerebral Palsy
- Anyone suffering from a neurotrauma (brain injury)
- Those with misaligned bones in the feet
- Those suffering from movement problems within the upper extremities
- Those suffering with complex movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s Disease
However, video motion technology such as Dartfish is also commonly used to help athletes and patients improve performance by capturing and providing visual feedback and determining progress through the before and after images.
